It means having the capacity to learn from them in order to understand them and to view all people as of equal value. The journey towards wholeness begins with an internal path of personal growth and discovery that leads to an external path of service to others. Volunteering can be a rewarding experience whether you choose to serve locally or internationally, for one afternoon or every week, for class credit or to fill your spare time. We all possess skills and abilities that can be used to help serve others.
